JoSAA stands for Joint Seat Allotment Authority is set up by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource & Development) to handle joint seat allotment in 97 institutes which includes – 23 IITs, 23 IIITs, 31 NITs and 20 other government funded technical institutes. Candidates those were qualified in JEE Main and JEE Advanced, are eligible to take participate in JoSAA.
Important points regarding JoSAA registration –
All Candidates who have appeared in Joint Entrance Examination Mains 2017 are eligible to registered for seat allocation in NIT + system except IITs. Candidates those qualify in JEE Advanced are eligible to apply for seat allotment in all listed institutes.
