WBCS Preliminary Cut Off 2019
Scheme of Preliminary exam –
Preliminary exam will carry on one paper based on General Studies. The paper will carry 200 objective type of questions and every question carry 1 mark. So total 200 marks paper will 2 1/2 hrs duration. Therefore level of paper will of the level of knowledge as expected of graduate of any faculty.
English composition, Current Events (National and International), General Science, History of India, Geography of India and West Bengal, Indian National Movement, Indian Polity and Economics, Mental Ability Test. So each portion will carry 25 marks (25 questions).
Purpose of screening test only for selection of candidates for mains exam. Therefore marks obtained in prelims test will not considered for final selection. So those candidates who will declared qualified in screening test in particular year, will allowed for admission in mains test of that year.
