Samajwadi Party's Member of Parliament, Ramji Lal Suman, stirred up a political hornet's nest with his explosive comments on the revered 16th-century Rajput king, Rana Sanga. During a session in the Rajya Sabha, Suman called Rana Sanga a 'traitor', alleging that the king had invited the Mughal emperor Babur into India. This assertion has not only been dismissed by historians but has also sparked outrage across the nation, particularly within the Rajput community and Hindu organizations.
Historic records suggest a very different tale: Rana Sanga is celebrated for his resistance against Mughal invasions, notably in the Battle of Bayana, which highlights his efforts to defend India against external forces.
